Who is opposing the recall of DA Pamela Price?
Established in 2010, Oakland Rising Action (ORA) forwards a vision of Oakland that realizes our shared dreams of health, happiness, safety, and opportunity for all.
ORA engages in proactive voter education and GOTV operations that encourage Oakland’s working-class, immigrant, and communities of color to think critically about voting for or against issues, policies and candidates based on our shared vision and values for an Oakland for all.
ORA is opposing the recall of DA Pamela Price because of her track record in preventing crime, supporting the victims of crime, and reforming the criminal justice system to prevent recidivism. We are joined in opposing the recall of DA Price by:
Alameda Democratic Party and American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU);
Community organizations and local non-profits including Oakland Rising Action, APEN Action and Courage California;
Workers’ Organizations including the National Union of Healthcare Workers, ILWU, UAW and CWA;
Keith Carson of the Alameda Board of Supervisors; and
City council members from across the county including Oakland, Emeryville, Fremont, and San Leandro.
